HAITI
4V1SAVANNAH is the special callsign for the Radio Club d'Haiti to commemorate the 245th anniversary of the Battle of Savannah from 16 September to 20 October.
In 1779, more than 500 volunteers from Saint-Domingue (the French colony which later became Haiti), fought alongside American colonial troops against the British Army during the siege of Savannah, an encounter of the American War of Independence. [TNX 425 DX NEWS]
