During February EM30VER celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Ukrainian station Vernadsky in Antarctica. Other celebratory callsigns, run by experienced Antarctic ops, are: EM30KY (UT1KY),

Celebrating the the Liga de Amadores Brasileiros de Radio Emissao's 92nd anniversary, 28 special callsigns - representing LABRE and the 27 Brazilian federative units  (26 states and one federal district)    will be active on  1-28 February:  ZV1ES (Espirito Santo),  ZV1RJ  (Rio de Janeiro),  ZV2DF (Distrito Federal),  ZV2GO (Goias),  ZV2LB  (LABRE), ZV2SP (Sao Paulo), ZV2TO (Tocantins), ZV3RS (Rio Grande do Sul), ZV4MG (Minas Gerais), ZV5PR (Parana), ZV5SC (Santa Catarina), ZV6BA (Bahia),  ZV6SE (Sergipe),  ZV7AL (Alagoas),  ZV7CE  (Ceara), ZV7PB (Paraiba),  ZV7PE (Pernambuco),  ZV7RN (Rio Grandeb do Norte),  ZV8AC (Acre),  ZV8AM (Amazonas),  ZV8AP (Amapa),  ZV8MA (Maranhao),  ZV8PA (Para),  ZV8PI (Piaui),  ZV8RO (Rondonia),  ZV8RR  (Roraima),  ZV9MS  (Mato Grosso do Sul),  ZV9MT  (Mato Grosso).  The activation  will cover all bands and modes, and satellite communications.  [TNX 425 DX NEWS]
